New Chinese policy on immigration

According to information from the Consular Department, Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Vietnam, since August 22, 2020, the new policy of China on immigration has been changed to match the prevention and control of the Covid-19 epidemic.

From August 22, 2020, Vietnamese citizens wishing to enter China if they already have a valid residence permit (including three types of residence permits: work, personal purposes, reunion) will be granted a visa free of charge after providing the China Visa Application Form and the Declaration of Health (a type of Chinese health declaration) . Persons entering China by flight must have a negative NAT (Nucleic Acid Testing) test for Covid-19 within 3 days prior to boarding and strictly comply with the disease prevention and control regulations of local host after entry. If there is no valid residence permit, you must apply for a China visa in accordance with the regulations.

For those who are eligible to apply for a visa at the China Visa Service Center in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City, including applicants for the following purposes:

Firstly, entering China for humanitarian emergency reasons (to attend funerals or visit seriously ill loved ones) ;

Second, reuniting with the family, spouse and under-18 children of a Chinese citizen or a foreigner holding a permanent residence card in China;

Third, to enter China to take care of and support Chinese citizenship parents, as well as their spouse and under-18 children;

Fourth, those who are subject to scientific, technical and economic and commercial cooperation are granted invitations from the Department of Foreign Affairs, the Department of Commerce at the provincial level of China and their spouses, children under 18 years old./ .
