The time of October 1st, 1991 which marked historic milestone, for Lao Cai to rise from one of the poorest provinces in the country, after 3 decades under the leadership of the Provincial Party Committee, it has achieved many proud achievements, with competitive ranking to attract the top investment in the country, which is striving to one day become developed province of the Northern Midlands and Mountains. Lao Cai has 25 ethnic groups and branches, creating various and diverse and rich traditional cultural treasure. Over the past few years, the effectiveness of the right guidelines and policies has gradually turned Lao Cai into one of the few provinces and cities in the country that well preserves traditional ethnic cultures and becomes the important natural resource in the development of local tourism.
On the occasion of the 30th anniversary of the re-establishment of the province, in order to contribute to promoting the image of Lao Cai being friendly, stable, dynamic and developing to domestic and international friends, Lao Cai province has cooperated with the External Television Department. - VTV4, Vietnam Television to produce promotional episodes about Lao Cai.
