On June 24, the Border Guard Command of Lao Cai province (Vietnam) and the Hong Ha Border Management Team, the Van Son Border Management Team, the Immigration and Checkpoints of Ha Khau, Ma Quan, Yunnan province (China) organized a patrol to prevent and combat illegal entry and exit and to prevent and control the Covid-19 pandemic on the border section in charge of the two sides.
In addition to promoting and creating favorable conditions for export, Lao Cai province has proactively come up with many solutions to promote the consumption of agricultural products in the context of difficulties caused by the Covid-19 pandemic.
With the benefit of limiting direct contact in crowded places, the online public service system is an effective means to help state agencies, businesses and people in the prevention and control of the Covid-19 pandemic.
On July 9, 2021, the Provincial People's Committee issued Decision No. 2417/QD-UBND on the establishment of a Steering Committee for the implementation of the Covid-19 vaccination campaign in Lao Cai province.
In the first six months of 2021, the total import-export turnover, purchase, sale and exchange of goods through border gates in Lao Cai is estimated at 2.08 billion dong, up 41.98% over the same period in 2020.

Recently, Lao Cai Provincial People's Committee issued Decision No. 1655/QD-UBND on the establishment of the Center for Smart Monitoring and Administration in Lao Cai Province.
On May 23, nearly 500,000 voters in Lao Cai province cast ballots at 1,138 voting stations to elect 6 deputies to the 15th National Assembly and 3,575 People's Council deputies at all levels and tasks, 2021-2026 term. The percentage of Lao Cai voters who voted reached over 99.98 percent, with 7/9 districts and cities reaching 100 percent. Election activities and election organization was strictly followed by regulations, ensuring security, safety, and order.
