On the afternoon of August 24, 2022, at the Lao Cai Provincial Museum, the Department of Culture and Sports had a working session with a delegation of experts from the Nouvelle Aquitaine region - France. At the meeting, Mr. Nguyen Van Thang - Director of Lao Cai Provincial Museum reported on the results achieved in the series of cooperation activities between Lao Cai province and the Nouvelle - Aquitaine region (France) in the period of 2020 - 2023. In the period 2020 – 2023, the region of Nouvelle Aquitaine (France) searched and supported the museum 111 photographic documents, maps of Lao Cai in the late 19th century, early 20th century; 10 minutes video about the history, landscape, culture of Lao Cai in the early 20th century. French expert in collaboration with the provincial museum working with the French School of the Far East in Hanoi collects Black and white photographs of Lao Cai in the early 20th century. Initially received 23 photos of the theme of the military garrison, and national costumes. Documentary photos, maps, and videos are reviewed, edited, and shown by the Provincial Museum in the museum's display, mobile display, many of which are first published in events and exhibitions, attracted a lot of public attention, recognized and evaluated by the provincial leaders as a valuable document to promote, a practical result in cooperation activities between Lao Cai province and the Nouvelle Aquitaine region (Republic of Vietnam). France) in the field of heritage.

Also during the meeting, the two sides jointly evaluated the activities "Cooperation framework agreement between Lao Cai province - Vietnam and Nouvelle Aquitaine region - France in the period 2020-2023", proposed activities in the period to the field of museums such as: Consulting on design of permanent displays; design and credit market, edit clips, video images; Consulting in the field of communication and educational activities to promote the Museum; Consulting outdoor display models; Promote relations, towards the 20th anniversary of cooperation between Lao Cai province - Vietnam and Nouvelle Aquitaine region - France, printing and publishing photo book "Lao Cai past and present"'.
