Provincial People's Committee Chairman Dang Xuan Phong received the Danish Ambassador

At the meeting, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Dang Xuan Phong gave general information to the mission about the socio-economic situation, potentials, and strengths of Lao Cai province. Especially emphasize the advantages of border gates, mineral resources, rich culture, natural landscape, climate... favorable to develop tourism, trade, and industry. He also highly appreciated ODA-funded projects funded by the Danish Government and FDI projects implemented by Danish investors in Lao Cai, such as Project equipped with digital television centers. , expanding coverage area and improving staff capacity at Dai PT-TH of Lao Cai province; Investment project to build and trade ecotourism in Sa Pa of Topas Eco Lodge Company. These are all projects bringing practical effects, contributing to promoting the socio-economic development of the province.

Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Dang Xuan Phong wishes Ambassador Kim Højlund Christensen interested in introducing Danish businesses and investors to Lao Cai to explore the market, invest in the construction of large-scale projects in all sectors from industry, construction to agriculture, energy... It also introduces some ODA donors, Denmark's non-governmental organizations, to sponsor Lao Cai province to implement socio-economic development and social security goals for the period 2021 - 2025.  Lao Cai province commits to creating the best favorable conditions for Danish businesses to invest and do business in Lao Cai.

Here, the Provincial People's Committee Chairman also respectfully invited Danish partners to attend the conference on investment promotion, trade, and tourism in Lao Cai province held in 2021 in Lao Cai on the 30th anniversary of the re-establish province.

Speaking at the meeting, Danish Ambassador Kim Højlund Christensen emphasized the diplomatic relationship between Denmark and Vietnam established from 1971, by 2013 this relationship was raised to a comprehensive partnership. . The two sides have had many cooperation programs in many fields, the Danish Government has concretized by offering many support programs for cooperation and investment activities of enterprises of the two countries, Topas Explorer Project Group in Lao Cai is one of the outstanding results from those programs. 

The Ambassador of Denmark thanked Lao Cai province leaders for creating favorable conditions for the project to be implemented by Topas Explorer Group as planned. At the same time, happy to see that the Lao Cai province government has many solutions to preserve the natural landscape and cultural identity, which is what businesses investing in sustainable tourism are very supportive. The Ambassador wished that Lao Cai province would continue to support programs and projects implemented by Danish enterprises in Lao Cai, such as the second phase of Topas Eco Lodge Project; Vietnam Forest Ice Marathon held every year... At the same time, hopefully, next year, on the 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Vietnam - Denmark will see more projects invested by Danish enterprises in Lao Cai, from there, contribute to strengthening and deepening the relationship between the two countries.

At the meeting, the representative of Topas Explorer Group Company also asked Lao Cai province to remove some difficulties and problems in implementing phase 2 of the Topas Eco Lodge project and proposed some new ideas about tourism development in Sa Pa.
