On June 25, 2026, as part of a working program in the Republic of Türkiye, a Lao Cai working delegation led by Giang Thi Dung - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Head of the province's National Assembly deputies - met with the Vietnamese Embassy in Türkiye to discuss tourism development, cooperation promotion and broader ties with Turkish partners.
As part of a working visit to the Republic of Greece and the Republic of Türkiye, a Lao Cai working delegation led by Giang Thi Dung — Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Head of the province's 16th-term National Assembly deputies — visited the Vietnamese Embassy in Greece on June 22.

On the morning of May 28, Provincial Party Secretary Duong Quoc Huy met the representatives of Zongshen Industrial Group (Chongqing) and the Yunnan Energy Investment Group (YEIG). The talks aimed to strengthen cooperation in investment, trade, logistics and the energy industry between Lao Cai province and major Chinese corporations. The meetings took place on the sidelines of the 6th Annual Conference between the Party Secretaries of the Vietnamese provinces of Lao Cai, Lai Chau, Tuyen Quang and Dien Bien and China's Yunnan province, alongside the 12th Session of the Joint Working Group and the 2026 Investment, Trade and Tourism Promotion Conference held in Yunnan.
On the morning of May 27, the delegation from Lao Cai province, led by Mr. Duong Quoc Huy - Member of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam and Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, departed through the Lao Cai International Border Gate to attend the 6th Annual Conference between the Secretaries of the Provincial Party Committees of Lao Cai, Lai Chau, Tuyen Quang, and Dien Bien provinces (Vietnam) and Yunnan province (China), and to participate in the 2026 Investment, Trade, and Tourism Promotion Conference held in Yunnan province.
On the afternoon of May 25, Mr. Duong Quoc Huy, Member of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam and Secretary of the Lao Cai Provincial Party Committee, held a courtesy meeting and working session with a delegation from the Japanese Embassy in Vietnam, led by Mr. Ito Naoki, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Japan to Vietnam.
On the evening of April 30, at 19/8 Square, Yen Bai Ward, Lao Cai Province, a grand art program themed "The Epic of Aspiration to Reach New Heights" was held to celebrate the 51st anniversary of the Liberation of Southern Vietnam and National Reunification (April 30, 1975 - April 30, 2026) and International Labor Day (May 1).
On the afternoon of March 24th, at the headquarters of the Lao Cai Provincial People's Committee, Mr. Nguyen Tuan Anh - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee - received and worked with a delegation from Trang Nghiem Research Institute Co., Ltd., led by Mr. Nghiem Gioi Hoa - Chairman of Trang Nghiem Research Institute Co., Ltd., founder of Pacific Construction Group and To Thuong Construction Group.
This is the goal set by the Lao Cai Provincial Party Committee in its Plan for implementing Resolution No. 80-NQ/TW dated January 7, 2026, of the Politburo on the development of Vietnamese culture in the province.
