Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Dang Xuan Phong inspects election preparations in Bao Yen

On the afternoon of May 21, Mr. Dang Xuan Phong, member of the Central Committee of the Party, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council, Head of the Provincial Election Steering Committee went to inspect the preparation for the election of National Assembly deputies of the 15th term and delegates of People's Councils at all levels for the term 2021 - 2026 in Bao Yen district.

Joining the Delegation were Mr. Hoang Giang, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee; Giang Seo Van, Member of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee, member of the Steering Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial Election Commission; Vu Van Cai, Member of Standing Committee of Provincial Party Committee, Standing Vice Chairman of Provincial People's Council, Vice Chairman of Provincial Election Commission; Duong Duc Huy, Member of Standing Committee, Head of Propaganda Department of Provincial Party Committee, member of Provincial Election Steering Committee.

The whole Bao Yen district has 93 voting units with 106 voting stations, in which Bao Ha commune, Pho Rang town, Thuong Ha commune have the most polling stations, 11, 10, and 9 voting stations, respectively; Minh Tan commune has at least 4 voting stations; remaining 7 communes have 6 voting stations and 6 communes have 5 voting stations. There are 10/106 voting stations located at schools, the rest at the village cultural house and the headquarters of the People's Committee of the commune and town. Basically, the facilities at the voting  stations meet the requirements and are being directed to decorate the ceremony in accordance with regulations. The Election Committee of Bao Yen district has established 8 teams to inspect the preparation work at the voting units with 2 times/unit.

According to statistics, Bao Yen district has over 59,800 voters; there is 1 voting unit with 5 candidates for the 15th National Assembly (the 2nd constituency in Bao Thang, Van Ban and Sa Pa districts) will elect 3 delegates; There are 2 voting units for provincial People's Council deputies with 10 candidates to elect 6 deputies. For the District People's Council, there are 59 candidates for voters to = elect 35 delegates; 626 candidates for the People's Council of 17 communes and townships to elect 370 delegates. 

Checking a number of voting stations in Bao Ha commune and Pho Rang town, the Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee highly appreciated Bao Yen district for actively and seriously implementing election preparation to ensure progress and flexibility, take the initiative in the conditions of facilities in the voting units.

The Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee directed Bao Yen district to continue to strengthen the leadership and direction for each area and voting unit, to proactively have plans and scenarios to deal with situations in the fighting against the Covid-19 pandemic. The functional forces actively coordinated to ensure security and order for the election with a serious and thoughtful spirit; strengthen propaganda and promotion towards the election day, pay attention to the decorations at the voting station, create a joyful and excited atmosphere for voters, so that the election day truly becomes a festival of all citizens.
