7/6/2021, UB

On June 7th, 2021, the Provincial People's Committee issued the Decision No. 1926/QD-UBND recognizing Choan Then village, Y Ty commune, Bat Xat district as the tourist destination.
Chon Then has the poetic natural landscape.

This is the result after many years that Bat Xat district encourages local people to preserve and promote indigenous traditional cultural values; encourages people to renovate outdated customs, practice hygienic eating and living activities such as: Moving livestock and poultry cages away from houses, away from residential areas, embellishing houses and investing in essential items needed to welcome tourists to eat and stay at households (homestay service).

Choan Then is the village where 100% black Ha Nhi people live. The village is located adjacent to the center of the commune with poetic natural landscape, charming mountains, fresh and cool climate, unique house architecture and sincere, hospitable people, leaving good impressions in the hearts of tourists.

Being recognized as the tourist destination will be the premise for Choan Then in particular and Y Ty in general to promote tourism development in the future.

The goal of Lao Cai province is to develop Y Ty tourism to become the second Sapa.
