New destination for those who are adventurous to explore

Nam Chac waterfall in Nam Chac commune (Bat Xat district) is beautiful and attractive, which can be developed into eco-tourism destination.

Originating from Phin Ho village, Y Ty commune, Nam Chac waterfall weaves through the primeval forests, bounces over many cliffs, running like outstanding white silk strip between the mountains and forests. In addition to the name Nam Chac waterfall, the people here and those who love to explore often call it "multi-layered waterfall" because the waterfall has dozens of layers in succession from the top of the mountain to the valley of the villages: Suoi Thau, Suoi Thau 3, Nam Giang, Nam Chac, Cua Suoi and then pours into the Red River. Each cascade has its own beauty, but it is all white foam and cool. In particular, the cascade system and natural landscape still retain many pristine and intact features.

It is not too difficult to conquer because other waterfalls, the road to Nam Chac waterfall is very easy to go, just travel in concrete road of more than 3 km by motorbike or car from the People's Committee of Commune to reach the 6th - 7th waterfall layer at Suoi Thau 3 suspension bridge at the altitude of about 600 m above sea level. Here, the cascades have large beaches, cool fresh water, suitable for picnic trips. Here in the summer, when there was no Covid-19 pandemic, people in the area and surrounding areas came to experience and picnic a lot.

For tourists from far away, when exploring Nam Chac waterfall, they can also admire the beauty of terraced fields, raspberry hills in the ripe rice season, immerse themselves in the majestic natural landscape, experience stream fishing, and explore villages of Mong, Dao, Giay people with many unique indigenous cultures. If they are lucky, visitors can meet the Dao family when they organize the ceremony to grant the mature - one of the unique cultural features preserved by the Red Dao people here. Visitors can also visit the village, bathe in medicinal leaves of the Red Dao people and enjoy rustic dishes such as local chicken, gourd duck, stream fish... in the villages along both sides of the stream.

Mr. Chao Lao Ta in Suoi Thau village said: Not only the waterfall is beautiful, but the natural landscape here is also very majestic, with terraced fields, convenient transportation system and rich cultural identity of the ethnic groups. If it is interested, developed, and attracted investment, surely Nam Chac waterfall will become attractive destination that tourists cannot ignore when coming to the highlands of Bat Xat district.

Although posessing many factors to become the tourist destination, Nam Chac waterfall has not yet been invested and exploited. "Multi-layered waterfall" is still like the "princess" sleeping in the forest, waiting to be awakened up.
