Muong Bo firmly walks under the Party flag - Lesson 1: Muong Bo - heroic memory

Muong Bo is a village in the middle of the mountain with a stream running through it, according to the locals. It is also referred to as the "cradle" of the local revolution. During the French colonialists' resistance war, the Muong Bo guerrilla team and its officials, party members, and ethnic people here wholeheartedly supported the Party, becoming a solid support for the revolutionary movement and repelling the invaders. Sapa was liberated on November 3, 1950, as part of a strategy. Inheriting that glorious tradition, the Muong Bo ethnic groups are now attempting to transform Muong Bo into a typical new rural commune of Sa Pa town.

Overview of Muong Bo commune.

This year, Mr. Tran Van Den of the homeland revolutionary movement is 86 years old, 55 years old of the Party, used to hold many local responsibilities before coming to live in Muong Bo 1 village, Muong Bo commune, in memory of Mr. Tran Van Den of the homeland revolutionary movement. After the French colonialists took over, they exploited the people's wealth, and there were a number of other forces working to oppose the revolution in any way they could. People's lives are extremely miserable; there is no food to eat, no clothing to wear, and they eat mostly old roots and brown tubers. The people of the Muong Bo ethnic groups banded together to fight the French colonialists and oppression. Muong Bo's people have nurtured and protected their officers and soldiers, defeated the enemy, and destroyed bandits under the leadership of the Party.

Early in 1947, the French colonialists aggressively recruited more soldiers to attack the Northwest, preparing to attack the free zone in order to capture Lao Cai - Yen Bai. When the enemy took Sa Pa, our forces were forced to retreat to Ta Van, then to Muong Bo and the lower communes of the Sa Pa district. The Provincial Viet Minh Front launched the movement of "destroying resistance war," "empty garden, empty house," strengthening security, preventing fraud, and implementing 3 Nos (don't know, don't listen, not found) under the leadership of the Provincial Party Committee. Under the leadership of the Viet Minh District Ministry, the youth, militia, and self-defense classes participated in thousands of fair days with rudimentary means, destroying French villas and offices and obstructing the French army's path. The mass base thrived, and the working team established a base of operations in the Muong Bo area. Mr. Nung A Khi, Luc Duc Trung, Sen A Pai... are some of the people who took part in the first guerrilla movement in the area, which spanned from Muong Bo to Nam Cang, Nam Ngan, Suoi Thau, and Thanh Kim. In 1949, a young man named Lu Duc Quang of the Tay ethnic group was admitted to the Party in Muong Bo village and became one of the first three members of the Party cell in Sa Pa. The Muong Bo guerilla team, led by the Communist Party of Vietnam, is also present. Hoang Duc Do was appointed captain.…

The government is always interested in the development of party members.

Since 1950, the local revolutionary movement has caused the French colonialists to fail more and more severely under the leadership of the Party and with the strength of the army and people's unity. We consistently won because of meticulous preparation in all areas. The enemy had to open a bloodline to run into Sa Pa after Lao Cai town was liberated on November 1, 1950. The Party Civil Affairs Committee, the Sa Pa Resistance Committee, and the Muong Bo Guerrilla Team advanced from the Muong Bo area to Sa Pa town, where they coordinated with the main units to capture and liberate the French bases. On the afternoon of November 3, 1950, Sa Pa was visited for the second time. Muong Bo commune was divided into five communes after peace was restored: Thanh Phu, Nam Sai, Nam Cang, Ban Ho, and Suoi Thau.

According to Mr. Tran Van Den, the most difficult period is economic development. People's lives are extremely miserable as a result of the war's repercussions, but they continue to support the Party wholeheartedly and band together to build a happy and prosperous future. The cultivation of rice and potatoes is the first local economic development. We are also the forerunners in planting these two types of trees, taking good care of those who will follow, emulating one another, working hard, producing...

In December 2019, two communes, Thanh Phu and Suoi Thau, were merged under the name Muong Bo, in accordance with the resolution of the National Assembly Standing Committee on the establishment of Sa Pa town. Muong Bo, a countryside rich in revolutionary traditions, has returned to its proud name, fostering today's young generation's love of the homeland.

Nguyen Thi Thu Ha, a teacher at Muong Bo Middle School Semi-Boarding School in Sa Pa town, stated, "We always educate and orient students with national pride, love for the homeland, and country." The school organizes extracurricular activities on a regular basis to visit families with meritorious services to water, clean cemeteries, memorials for heroes and martyrs... to express gratitude and pride for the homeland's revolutionary tradition.

According to Uncle Ho, the community of four ethnic groups living in solidarity on Muong Bo's land has always had a love for the revolution and a heart for the Party. To be worthy of the People's trust, the Muong Bo commune Party Committee, with over 300 party members living in 15 affiliated branches, continues to inherit and creatively apply traditional strength with new era knowledge, bringing Revolutionary countryside to change comprehensively with the development of Sa Pa town. Mr. Hoang Van Phang, Secretary of the Muong Bo Commune Party Committee, stated: "In the previous term, the Commune Party Committee has always focused on developing party members as well as building a strong party organization; focus on leading the people to unite, develop the economy-society, and improve the material and spiritual life of the people."

Muong Bo is entering a new day with the promise of profound change. The Commune Party Committee's goal for the 2020-2025 term is to transform Muong Bo into a typical new rural commune of Sa Pa town.
