Lao Cai continues to build new rural resources

Over the years, Lao Cai has always paid special attention and care to the development of agriculture, farmers, and rural areas. Especially, the implementation of the National Target Program on building new rural areas has been determined to be substantive and sustainable.

Building new countryside, contributing to the improvement of the material and spiritual life of rural residents.

To complete the planned tasks of 2021, the Lao Cai Provincial People's Committee requires the agencies and units in charge of new rural criteria to review, evaluate and appraise the criteria set by the unit in charge of the rural areas to reach the finish line in 2021 in the province. Accelerating the implementation progress of communes striving to meet new rural standards, new rural communes to be enhanced in 2021. In which: striving for the whole province to have 20 communes up to the standard of "Newly advanced rural communes" and 9 communes meet the standard of "Standard New Rural Commune". Striving for the period of 2021 - 2025, the People's Committees of districts, towns, and cities will recognize 90 villages as "Standard Villages" and 110 villages as "New Rural Villages". On average, the criteria has achieved 17.3 criterias/commune. There are no communes under reaching 10 criterias. The estimated capital demand for implementation of the National Target Program on building new rural areas in Lao Cai province in the period of 2021 - 2025 is 4,622,000 million VND.
