Provincial Business Association worked with the Vietnamese Consulate General in Kunming, China, and leaders of Sunwah Group

During an enterprise trip in Lao Cai province, the Vietnamese Consulate General in Kunming, China, and leaders of Sunwah Group visited and worked with the Lao Cai Provincial Business Association.

The contingent included Mr. Nguyen Trung Hieu, Consulate General of Vietnam in Kunming, China; Mr. Jesse Choi, Director of Sunwah Group Vietnam and associates.

 On the side of the Provincial Business Association, there were Mr. Nguyen Huy Long, Chairman of the Association and representatives of a number of businesses.

At the meeting, Mr. Nguyen Huy Long, Chairman of the Provincial Business Association gave an overview of the Association and production and business activities of enterprises in Lao Cai province. After more than 30 years of re-establishing the province, Lao Cai has more than 4,000 enterprises operating in multiple industries and fields; in which, there are many enterprises that have relationships of trade, import, export, and transportation of goods with Chinese enterprises. Mr. Nguyen Huy Long wished that the Consulate General of Vietnam in Kunming, China would continue to play the connecting role to promote the trade of goods between the Vietnam - China market through the border entrances in Lao Cai; Sunwah Group will promote investment, cooperation, and support for Lao Cai businesses in the fields the Group is building and developing.

Before discussing collaboration opportunities, Mr. Jesse Choi, Director of Sunwah Group Vietnam gave an overview of Sunwah Group and the fields it is investing and doing business in. Sunwah is an international multi-industry corporation, doing business in 8 main areas: Seafood and food, real estate, financial services, information technology, infrastructure, education and training, and media and environmental technology. Currently, in Vietnam, Sunwah Group is investing in the domains of Seafood and food, real estate, financial services, coffee, agricultural products, and dry food, and innovation.

Through the survey, Mr. Jesse Choi and Sunwah Vietnam highly appreciated the potential of Lao Cai province in the fields of agriculture, tourism, investment, import, and export. In which, Sunwah Group wishes to cooperate in exploiting, processing, and protecting ancient tea; pilot cooperation to develop tourism by self-driving cars between Yunnan province (China) and Lao Cai (Vietnam); support the construction of a cross-border economic cooperation area; support to connect Hong Kong and Chinese businesses to survey and seek investment opportunities in Lao Cai province. The Group is committed to playing the role of a bridge, building a cooperative relationship for businesses of the two sides to develop together.

The representative of Linh Duong Joint Stock Company discussed the potential of cooperation in processing old tea.

At the meeting, Sunwah Vietnam and businesses from the Provincial Business Association exchanged information and identified a number of possible cooperation contents in the near future.
