Over 78,000 visitors came to Lao Cai during the Hung Kings Commemoration holiday

During the 3 days of the Hung Kings Commemoration Holiday (April 9, April 11, 2022), Lao Cai proactively implemented plans to reopen tourism activities under new normal conditions, attracting over 78.3 thousand visitors came to visit, including 26 international visitors, the total revenue from tourism is estimated to reach 261 billion VND.

In which, Sa Pa town welcomed about 38,000 visitors; Lao Cai city welcomed 25,000 visitors; Bac Ha district welcomed 12,000 visitors; Bao Yen district welcomed about 8,000 visitors; Bat Xat district welcomed about 4.3 thousand tourists.

Sa Pa continues to be the locality to welcome the largest number of tourists during the holiday.

The room occupancy rate at accommodation establishments reached over 75%, especially in Sa Pa National Tourist Area, Bac Ha Tourist Area, and Bat Xat Tourist Area, the room occupancy rate was estimated to reach over 97%.

According to the tourism industry’s review, the number of visitors to Lao Cai is large thanks to the fact that localities in the province have organized many promotional activities to stimulate tourism such as: Rose Festival at Fansipan Cable Car Resort, Love and Roses Festival, opening Bac Ha night market; Mother Temple Festival… the prevention and control of the Covid-19 pandemic ensures safety and efficiency, and tourism activities take place vividly.
