Lao Cai city enhances promotion and stimulates safe tourism
In order to recover tourism activities in the new situation, the People's Committee of Lao Cai City has just issued the plan to promote, advertise and stimulate tourism to ensure safety in the prevention and control of Covid-19 pandemic in 2022.Accordingly, in order to promote and introduce the image, homeland and the people of Lao Cai to tourists inside and outside the province, in 2022, Lao Cai city will organize cultural and sports activities to attract tourists to participate and experience key activities such as: Street Festival - Theme: "Colors of Border City" (April 2022); Lao Cai’s Green Rice Scent Festival (September 2022); The second Lao Cai’s Green Rice Scent bicycle race tournament (September 2022); Gala program "Happy New Year 2023" (December 2022).

Lao Cai city will also organize the Conference to meet tourism businesses to exchange, share and remove difficulties and obstacles in tourism development activities in Lao Cai city; it will make the proposal documents to request recognition of Lao Cai Provincial Museum and Coc Leu market as tourist attractions.
Propaganda, introduction and tourism promotion activities are also synchronously implemented on mass media and digital infrastructure to introduce the beauty of the landscape of Lao Cai homeland, its distinctive features about culture, nature and people of Lao Cai city, potential for tourism development, outstanding tourist attractions, experience activities, national cultural identity in the city; deploying a campaign to compose songs about Lao Cai city to promote and introduce to tourists having demand to visit and travel in Lao Cai city in particular and Lao Cai province in general to use the best tourism products and services.
The organization of promotional activities, tourism stimulus in order to recover tourism activities in the new situation, gradually recover the tourist market, ensure the "dual goal" which is both pandemic prevention and economic-social development.
