Ho Chi Minh Park is recognized as a national monument

On April 15, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism decided to recognize the Historical sites, places to commemorate President Ho Chi Minh in Lao Caiin Lao Cai, also known as Ho Chi Minh Park, in Lao Cai ward, Lao Cai city, Lao Cai province is a national monument.

Ho Chi Minh Park is one of the places Uncle Ho visited during his visit to Lao Cai province in 1958. 

The memorial place of President Ho Chi Minh in Lao Cai was built in early 1998 on the occasion of the 40th anniversary of Uncle Ho's visit to Lao Cai (September 23, 1958 - September 23, 1998). This is the place where Uncle Ho talked with representatives of the Party Committee and people of ethnic groups in Lao Cai province on September 23, 1958.

Today, Ho Chi Minh Park has become a place of political activities and educational ideals of the young generation in the province.

In 2011, the 20th anniversary of the re-establishment of the province (October 1, 1991 - October 1, 2011), Uncle Ho's memorial stele house was upgraded to Ho Chi Minh Park. In 2012, the project was renamed Ho Chi Minh Park, the total area was expanded to 2 hectares. In 2015, there were a number of new construction and embellishment items such as upgrading the lotus pond, renovating the steps leading to the stele house, re-paving the floor of the public newspaper station, etc.
