[Photo] Special dishes at the Culinary Competition

The culinary competition is one of the attractive activities at the Cultural and Sports Festival of Van Ban District’s ethnic groups. The competition attracted 21 teams from communes and towns in the district, with members who are skilled cooks and knowledgeable about local traditional cuisine.

The dishes served to guests at the contest left a deep impression on locals and tourists, and at the same time contributed to promoting the beauty of cuisine in particular, as well as the culture of ethnic groups in Van Ban in general.

21 teams from communes and towns brought to the contest delicious, unique and impressive dishes to entertain guests.

Within 2 hours, members of each team focused on completing a feast to entertain guests with traditional dishes of the local people.

Through the skillful hands of skilled chefs who are knowledgeable about local cuisine, the dishes and feasts seem to be breathed life into them.

Many delicious dishes are made from clean, fresh ingredients grown and raised by the locals themselves, such as: black sticky rice cake, colored sticky rice, grilled stream fish, boiled bamboo shoots, dried buffalo meat, black chicken, native black pork, "long legs", núc nác salad...

The dishes to entertain guests are both delicious and beautiful, and carry many traditional features of the local people.
