Lao Cai Provincial leaders received the delegation of the Lao National Assembly Secretariat

On the afternoon of April 25, in Sa Pa town, Lao Cai provincial leaders received the delegation of the Lao National Assembly Secretariat.

The delegation of the Lao National Assembly Secretariat was led by Mr. Singkham VongPhaChanh, Deputy Secretary General of the Lao National Assembly.

Accompanying the delegation were officials and experts from the Office of the Vietnamese National Assembly.

Leaders of the National Assembly Delegation of Lao Cai province, Sa Pa City Party Committee, Department of Foreign Affairs, Office of the National Assembly Delegation and Lao Cai Provincial People's Council attended the meeting.

Welcoming the delegation, on the Lao Cai province side, there were Mr.: Vu Van Cai, member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Council; Sung A Lenh, Deputy Head of the National Assembly Delegation, in charge of the National Assembly Delegation of Lao Cai province; leaders of the Department of Foreign Affairs, Sa Pa City Party Committee and the Office of the National Assembly Delegation and People's Council of Lao Cai province.

Mr. Vu Van Cai, Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Permanent Vice Chairman of Lao Cai Provincial People's Council spoke at the meeting.

At the meeting, Mr. Vu Van Cai, Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Council emphasized: The good traditional relationship between Vietnam and Laos has been diligently cultivated by generations of leaders of the two Parties, two States and the two peoples, becoming an exemplary, loyal and close relationship. Currently, President Luong Cuong is on a state visit to Laos.

Next, he gave preliminary information on the socio-economic development situation and results of the province. In recent years, Lao Cai province has been one of the localities with rapid economic growth as it has promoted its advantages in tourism, border gates and mineral resources, and promoted high-quality agriculture. Officials, party members, and people of all ethnic groups in the province are excited and confident in the leadership of the province, and are in agreement in carrying out political tasks. During this time, Lao Cai province is actively implementing the merger of organizations and apparatus at all levels under the direction of the central government. In particular, Lao Cai province will merge with Yen Bai province.

Regarding cooperation with Lao provinces, the Lao Cai Provincial Military Command and the Bo Keo Provincial Military Command (Laos) have established a twinning relationship and have many coordinated activities. Lao Cai Province always pays attention to and directs the implementation of the civilian training support program for overseas students from Bo Keo Province (Laos) studying in Lao Cai Province.

On behalf of the leaders of Lao Cai province, Mr. Vu Van Cai wished the friendly relationship between Vietnam and Laos to be increasingly strong and wished the delegation a successful working trip.

Speaking at the meeting, Mr. Singkham Vongphachanh, Deputy Secretary General of the Lao National Assembly, informed: The delegation of the Lao National Assembly Secretariat had a working trip to Vietnam, including Lao Cai province, to coordinate with Vietnamese authorities to compile the book "50 years of relations between the National Assembly of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam and the National Assembly of the Lao People's Democratic Republic - Comprehensive cooperation and development". The book is a meaningful activity to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the National Assembly relations between Vietnam and Laos.

The Deputy Secretary General of the Lao National Assembly expressed his delight at Vietnam's development achievements in recent years. Regarding Lao Cai province, he and the delegation were impressed by the local socio-economic development results, especially in tourism development. The delegation's visit this time contributed to consolidating and nurturing the great friendship, special solidarity and comprehensive cooperation between Vietnam and Laos in general, and Lao Cai province and the northern provinces of Laos in particular.

He also sent his congratulations to the Party, State and People of Vietnam on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification Day; and wished Lao Cai province further development. He expressed his belief that generations of leaders and people of the two countries will continue to foster the close and loyal relationship between Vietnam and Laos, "forever green and everlasting".
