Organizing a media festival with the theme "Internet opens the way - reading culture leads the way"

On the morning of April 21, Lao Cai Provincial Library coordinated with Lao Cai City High School No. 3 to organize a Media Festival on the Internet, Digital Transformation, STEM and Reading Culture Development in 2025 with the theme: "Internet opens the way - Reading Culture Leads the Way". The activity was organized to effectively implement the Plan on Breakthrough Development of Science, Technology, Innovation and Digital Transformation in Lao Cai Province.

The festival was attended by leaders of the Provincial Library, relevant agencies and units and more than 1,000 students of Lao Cai City High School No. 3.

At the festival, many activities took place such as: competition to learn about the internet and digital transformation; art book stacking competition; STEM activities (fashion show made from recycled materials, water rocket shooting); experience using a free mobile library with activities to guide internet access, introduce websites for learning, services at the provincial library, etc.; opening the school's digital library and launching the Reading Culture Ambassador Contest in 2025.

The festival's programs promoted and introduced the benefits of public internet access to a large number of people, especially students in Lao Cai province; equipped them with knowledge and skills in applying information technology and digital technology, exploiting new products and services for studying, working, culture and entertainment, contributing to economic development and improving the quality of life.

Students unleashed their creativity with a fashion show made from recycled materials and water rocket shooting.

Many activities were organized to help students approach and experience STEM education with outstanding advantages applied in practice, creating products in daily life; enhancing creativity, logical thinking, improving learning and working performance and having the opportunity to develop more comprehensive soft skills.
