Bringing cinnamon Lao Cai to the world

Tam Hoi cinnamon bark purchasing establishment, Lang Chung village, Son Ha commune (Bao Thang) is the pioneer in exporting directly cinnamon stick products to Singapore and India markets. The bold move of this establishment is opening up great opportunities for Lao Cai's cinnamon products to reach the world.

Established at the end of 2017, the production scale of this facility is constantly expanding (in photo: View of the facility's processing factory).

By June 2018, Tam Hoi cinnamon bark collector started to export the first shipments to Singapore and India (pictured: Leaders of Son Ha commune learn about the production and business situation of the establishment).

Currently, the establishment exports 2 main products, including split cinnamon and cinnamon flute. Each product has its own standard requirements (in the photo: An establishment's export product).

In which, cinnamon product "Tam Hoi Flute Tube" meets OCOP standard (above photo) .

To ensure production needs, during peak months, this establishment can purchase hundreds of tons of fresh cinnamon bark for growers. In particular, the establishment that buys at a higher price than the market should benefit cinnamon growers (in the photo: Peeling cinnamon - the first stage of processing).

Each month, the establishment creates regular jobs for 30 local workers, peaks up to about 60 people, with an average salary of about 6 million VND / month, depending on the product the employee makes (the establishment pays 25,000 VND / working hour, this contracting method is suitable for local workers' time conditions).

Ms. Ta Thi Hoi, owner of the establishment said: The establishment's demand for cinnamon export is huge, but with the existing factory area in the planned area, production cannot be expanded (in photo: Ms. Hoi checks the dryness of the product).

Currently, Tam Hoi cinnamon bark collection establishment is doing procedures to change the purpose of using a land area of about 1 ha together in the village to build factories and production zones, to meet the growing export demand of the two markets mentioned above. The establishment wants concerned authorities to facilitate speeding up the processing time (in the photo: Cutting stage with flute cinnamon products to ensure the length required by customers).

On the other hand, the establishment also wants to access preferential capital sources to expand production - business, and contribute to bringing cinnamon products of Lao Cai closer to the fastidious markets, that is also the same thing. This means opening up more opportunities to increase value for cinnamon trees in Lao Cai (in photo: Product packing before exporting).
