On November 12th, in Bat Xat district, Lao Cai Department of Science and Technology in collaboration with Bat Xat district held the conference to announce the decision on granting the trademark certificate "Lao Cai Pear", "Lao Cai Apple", "Bat Xat cold water fish".

Attending the announcement were leaders of the Department of Science and Technology, the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development, the Department of Industry and Trade, leaders of Muong Khuong, Van Ban, and Bat Xat districts, and households who were granted the certificates.
In recent years, pear and apple products have been favored and appreciated by domestic and foreign consumers. In 2021, the area of pears and apples will be grown in Bac Ha, Si Ma Cai and Bat Xat districts. These two types of trees have given high productivity and economic efficiency, contributing to promoting crop restructuring, developing fruit-growing regions, creating branded tourism products in the region of Lao Cai, contributing to hunger eradication, poverty reduction, improvement of the living standards of local farmers.

For cold water fish products, specifically "Bat Xat sturgeon and salmon", according to statistics, Bat Xat district has about 19,765 m2 of water surface area for raising sturgeon and salmon, mainly in highland communes. such as: Y Ty, Den Sang, Sang Ma Sao, Phin Ngan, Pa Cheo, Nam Pung..., most concentrated in Den Sang with an area of 8,193 m2, of which there are 154 fish tanks with a volume of 12,791 m3, accounting for nearly 50% fish farming area in the whole district. The average selling price of salmon is 200-250 thousand VND/kg, the price of sturgeon is from 180-200 thousand VND/kg, bringing a great source of income for people in production and business. In 2020 and 2021, due to the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic, the price of commercial salmon is only 140,000-150,000 VND/kg, sturgeon prices fluctuate around 150 - 170 thousand VND/kg.
At the conference, leaders of the Department of Science and Technology awarded the Decision to grant the Trademark Certificate "Lao Cai Pear", "Lao Cai Apple" of the National Office of Intellectual Property of Vietnam; Department of Agriculture and Rural Development awarded the certificate of trademark "Bat Xat cold water fish". Bat Xat district awarded certificates of right to use trademarks of sturgeon and salmon from the Department of Science and Technology to 5 households in the district.
The announcement of the trademarks of the above products affirms the reputation and quality of agricultural products of the province and Bat Xat district, contributing to perfecting the legal framework, creating the solid foundation for the supply of products from the province, districts to reach out to domestic and international markets, aiming to increase the people's income./.
