Lao Cai won 3 Gold prizes at the final round of the Competition "Challenging Business Initiatives"

On November 11th, the final round of the "Challenging Business Initiatives 2021" contest was held in the form of Livestream at 3 bridge points in Hanoi capital and 2 provinces of Lao Cai and Hoa Binh.

This is the key program in the series of activities to promote business start-ups under the Project "Enhancing access to livelihood opportunities for ethnic minority youth" funded by the European Union and implemented by Aide et Action (AEA - France), Northwest Center for Cooperation and Development, Vietnam Youth Union in Lao Cai province and Hoa Binh province.

Participating in this year's contest, Lao Cai province had 45 business and development projects for young people. After 2 rounds of competition, 10 projects of Lao Cai youth excellently entered the final round.

At the final round, groups of contestants from Lao Cai and Hoa Binh presented and defended their projects in front of the Council of Examiners. Lao Cai youth confidently presented on stage the promising projects, focusing on exploiting the strengths and potentials of the locality, especially in ethnic minority areas such as developing temperate tropical fruit trees, brocade culture, community tourism, experience…

Lao Cai won 3 Golden prizes.

The organization committee summarized and awarded 7 best projects, including 5 Golden prizes (each prize is worth VND 120 million) sponsored by the European Union and 2 impressive prizes (each prize is worth VND 25 million) funded by Standard Chartered Bank (Hanoi). In which, the excellent Lao Cai province has 3 projects receiving the Golden award and 2 projects receiving the impressive award with the total prize value of 410 million VND.

Through the contest to promote and spread the spirit of entrepreneurship among the youth of ethnic minorities across the country in general and Lao Cai in particular. Young people of ethnic minorities in Lao Cai have the opportunity to exchange, learn and develop skills to serve the process of start-up and improving business capacity./.
