On the evening of April 9, the People's Committee of Bac Ha District held the ceremony to open and recover Bac Ha night market after a long time of interruption by the Covid-19 pandemic.

Bac Ha night market has been opened at a new location, which is Bac Ha Cultural Market, from the evening of April 9 to create more tourism products for visitors to experience when coming to the "White Plateau".

Unique and attractive cultural program.

At the opening ceremony of Bac Ha night market, the delegates, tourists and local people enjoyed a special cultural program performed by folk art teams from different ethnic groups (Mong, Dao, Tay, Nung...) at the communes in Bac Ha district. In which, the most outstanding performances can be mentioned such as: Khen dancing, money-making stick dancing of the Mong people; Then singing and Gourd lute dancing of the Tay people; reenactment of the wedding, the bride procession of the Tay people and the Xoe dancing with the participation of a large number of delegates, tourists and people of Bac Ha district.

For now, Bac Ha night market will be held from 20:00 to 22:30 every Saturday night (only culinary activities will serve guests from 17:00 to 5 am the next morning). Bac Ha night market will have special cultural and artistic activities including traditional arts of ethnic groups: Xoe dancing, Khen dancing, money-making stick dancing...

In addition to cultural, artistic and culinary activities, at Bac Ha night market, there are also stalls to sell traditional products made by local people such as brocade, skirts, shirts, souvenirs... for visitors to select and shop.

It is known that Bac Ha district is continuing to study a plan to organize night market activities on some days of the week so that visitors can experience the culture and enjoy the food when coming to the "White Plateau" to visit and travel.
