The Ambassador affirmed that Vietnam is the UAE's largest and most important partner in the ASEAN region. This year, the two countries had the first round of negotiations in June on the Free Trade Agreement. The UAE is also the first country in the region to implement this content with Vietnam. This year, the two countries will celebrate 30 years of establishing diplomatic relations. The Ambassador hopes that Lao Cai will coordinate with the UAE Embassy to organize cultural exchange events.

Regarding Lao Cai, through the introduction of the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, the UAE Ambassador realized that there is great potential for cooperation and development in many fields. When visiting Lao Cai, specifically Sa Pa, the UAE Ambassador was extremely impressed with many interesting things, however many UAE people do not know about these places because there is very little promotional information. In the coming time, the UAE Embassy will send information about events and fairs so that Lao Cai can participate in introducing potential products and strengths of the province. For tourism, if there is a project, the UAE side is ready to look for local investment opportunities. Regarding infrastructure, this is a very strong field in the UAE. Businesses are currently investing in Ho Chi Minh City and have a desire to invest in other localities. The UAE hopes to invite investors to Lao Cai province to seek investment opportunities.
