Lao Cai Provincial Party Secretary Dang Xuan Phong and the delegation visited and worked at the Vietnamese Embassy in Mexico.

On October 28, 2024 (Mexico time), the delegation of Lao Cai province led by Mr. Dang Xuan Phong - Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of Lao Cai Provincial Party Committee, Head of the National Assembly Delegation of Lao Cai province arrived in Mexico to carry out the province's foreign affairs activities.

The delegation included Ms. Giang Thi Dung - Vice Chairman of Lao Cai Provincial People's Committee, Mr. Giang Quoc Hung, Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Internal Affairs, leaders of a number of provincial departments and branches, leaders of the Provincial Women's Union and Party Secretaries of Van Ban and Bao Thang districts.
The delegation visited and worked with the Vietnamese Embassy in Mexico. Talking with Ambassador Nguyen Van Hai and staff of the Vietnamese Embassy in Mexico, the Secretary of the Lao Cai Provincial Party Committee sincerely thanked the thoughtful reception, enthusiastic, timely and professional support of the Vietnamese Embassy in Mexico for the delegation.

After listening to Ambassador Nguyen Van Hai share about the diplomatic relations between Vietnam and Mexico, as well as the cooperation situation between the two countries in many fields, the Secretary of the Lao Cai Provincial Party Committee acknowledged and highly appreciated the contributions of the Ambassador and the staff of the Vietnamese Embassy in Mexico. Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Mr. Dang Xuan Phong, affirmed that Lao Cai province has a policy of proactively strengthening and expanding international cooperation, especially with new partners and localities in addition to traditional partners, with a view to partners in Mexico in the coming period.
Through the introduction of the potentials and comparative advantages for socio-economic development of Lao Cai province, the Secretary of Lao Cai Provincial Party Committee requested the Ambassador and the Vietnamese Embassy in Mexico to support the promotion of Lao Cai province to localities and partners in Mexico, especially promoting tourism in Lao Cai province. At the same time, the Secretary requested the Embassy to support information for Lao Cai province on economic trends, opportunities to promote trade, attract investment in Mexico, and information on potential partners for the province to connect and cooperate.

Previously, the Lao Cai Provincial Party Secretary and the delegation visited and offered flowers at the statue of President Ho Chi Minh in the capital of Mexico. The delegation would continue to visit and work with partners in Mexico for two days from October 28-29, 2024.
