At the talks, the two sides informed each other about the socio-economic development situation of each locality; affirmed the results of the friendly cooperation relationship in recent times.
Through the talks, the aim is to effectively implement the Minutes of the talks between the Secretaries of the Provincial Party Committees of Lao Cai, Ha Giang, Lai Chau, Dien Bien (Vietnam) and the Secretary of the Yunnan Provincial Party Committee (China). At the same time, implement the contents of the Minutes signed between the Secretaries of the Muong Khuong District Party Committee and the Ma Quan District Party Committee on April 20, 2023, thereby continuing to promote friendly exchanges, experience exchange, cooperation in socio-economic development, maintaining security and order on the border, preventing and combating epidemics and natural disasters between the two sides.

The two sides hope to further strengthen solidarity, friendship and cooperation in border management, cross-border crime prevention and control, immigration and cross-border labor management in the coming time; and create conditions for businesses of both sides to promote business and export products.

Before the talks, the delegation of Muong Khuong district, Lao Cai province (Vietnam) and the delegation of Ma Quan district, Van Son district, Yunnan province (China) visited the Lung Vai tea production cooperative, the Asian Food Joint Stock Company's fruit and vegetable processing factory in Lung Vai commune; and visited the tea growing area in Ban Sen commune, Muong Khuong district.
