Exchange of digital transformation experiences between Lao Cai province and Da Nang city

On the afternoon of July 9, in Da Nang city, the delegation of Lao Cai province led by Mr. Trinh Xuan Truong, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, had a working session with the People's Committee of Da Nang city to exchange experiences in digital transformation.

At the working session, Lao Cai province and Da Nang city There were exchanges of experiences in directing and operating the implementation of digital transformation tasks, coordination and support between departments and branches in building digital government, developing digital economy and digital society.

Sharing at the meeting, Mr. Le Trung Chinh, Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee, identified the theme of digital transformation: "Unlocking digital data, promoting digital economic growth and ensuring digital social security", focusing on development on all three pillars of digital government, digital economy and digital society. To promote digital transformation development in the coming time, it is necessary to focus on investment and development, promoting the application of information technology in line with the trend of Industrial Revolution 4.0 associated with the construction of e-government and smart cities; promoting the construction of the IOC Center according to the digital data inheritance model, aiming to build a friendly and smart city.

In addition, in the process of digital transformation, Da Nang city still faces difficulties related to policies, legal framework, infrastructure, data, human resources, etc.; especially the city's digital data is still fragmented, unreliable, of low quality, low availability; data sharing is still limited.

At the meeting, Mr. Trinh Xuan Truong, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the People's Committee of Lao Cai province expressed his impression with the achievements in socio-economic development of Da Nang in recent years. In particular, the city has achieved many achievements in digital transformation such as: 4 consecutive years of winning the Smart City Award, 13 consecutive years Leading the ranking of the readiness index for IT application and development, 65% of people have electronic identification accounts, digital citizens,... At the same time, the Chairman of Lao Cai Provincial People's Committee expressed his hope that Da Nang city and Lao Cai province will regularly coordinate and share experiences in the process of implementing digital transformation tasks in the coming time.
