More than 40 Vietnamese and Chinese enterprises met and connected for trade

On the afternoon of July 16, in Lao Cai, the Lao Cai Provincial Center for Industrial Promotion and Trade Promotion collaborated with the Lao Cai Provincial Business Association (Vietnam) and the China Association for the Promotion of International Trade, Hekou District Branch, Yunnan Province (China) to organize a conference on connecting trade and exchanges between Vietnamese and Chinese enterprises in 2024.

The conference was attended by leaders of the Lao Cai Provincial Center for Industrial Promotion and Trade Promotion, leaders of the Lao Cai Provincial Business Association; leaders of the People's Government of Hekou District, Yunnan Province; leaders of the China Association for the Promotion of International Trade - Hekou District Branch; representatives of more than 40 Vietnamese and Chinese enterprises operating in the fields of import - export, investment, production and processing of agricultural - aquatic - seafood products...

Mr. Ha Duc Binh, Director of the Provincial Center for Industrial Promotion and Trade Promotion, introduced cooperation opportunities with businesses in Lao Cai province.

Representatives from the Lao Cai Provincial Center for Industrial Promotion and Trade Promotion spoke at the conference about the province's role as a bridge to the Chinese market, as well as its potential, strengths, and prospects for collaboration with firms both within and outside of the province.

Mr. Truong Luong, Director of the Department of Mechanism Innovation, Hong Ha Free Trade Pilot Zone Management Board, Deputy Head of the People's Government of Ha Khau District, introduced the potential and strengths of enterprises in Ha Khau District.

The leaders of the People's Government of Ha Khau district also discussed the potential and strengths of Ha Khau district's enterprises, some import-export strategies, and Ha Khau district's position as a bridge to the Lao Cai provincial market in particular and the Vietnamese market in general.

Representatives of both sides' businesses exchanged and connected information, opening up opportunities for future cooperation.

Enterprises from both parties met directly at the conference to exchange experiences, provide information on production and business situations, commodity markets, and opportunities for cooperation and connection in the fields of production, processing, import and export of agricultural products, fruits, aquatic products, and so on through the Lao Cai border gates.

Representatives of the two businesses signed a memorandum of understanding.

At the conference, representatives from Lao Cai province and Ha Khau district firms signed a memorandum of agreement to boost future trade between the two parties.
