Lao Cai: welcoming Japanese volunteers to work at the Rehabilitation Hospital

On the afternoon of May 19, Lao Cai Provincial Rehabilitation Hospital organized a program to welcome volunteers from the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) in Vietnam to work at the hospital.

Leaders of the Department of Health presented flowers to welcome volunteers to work at the Provincial Rehabilitation Hospital.

Accordingly, JICA volunteers will work at the Therapy Department, Lao Cai Provincial Rehabilitation Hospital from May 20, for a period of 2 years.

During this time, volunteers will participate in patient treatment; share physical therapy expertise with hospital medical staff through group activities at the department; participate in activities such as case consultation, ward visits and other professional activities according to hospital regulations, and participate in movement activities organized by the unit and department.

Receiving Japanese volunteers to work at the Rehabilitation Hospital is an activity within the framework of the Japanese Volunteer Dispatch Program under the Vietnam - Japan Development Cooperation Program between the Government of Vietnam and the Government of Japan through the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) and is approved by the People's Committee of Lao Cai province to receive volunteers to work in Lao Cai province for the period 2025-2027.

The Provincial Rehabilitation Hospital will create the best conditions for food, accommodation, travel, and working environment for volunteers to share expertise and participate in treating patients; thereby helping volunteers to promote their professional knowledge, contributing to improving the quality of treatment and rehabilitation at the hospital.
