From tourism fairs to promotion of typical products of regions

At the Lao Cai International Tourism Fair 2025, many typical products of regions were introduced and promoted by provinces, cities, units and businesses nationwide, thereby, affirming the strength in exploiting potentials to form typical local tourism products.

The exhibition and introduction booth of Lao Cai province has the participation of 9 districts, towns and cities. In addition to introducing the potential and strengths in tourism development, the localities bring hundreds of typical products to serve people and tourists.

Typically, Muong Khuong district has deep-processed pork products such as: pork stewed with mushrooms, steamed pork belly with fermented soybean sauce, braised pork; Bac Ha district introduces unique products made from kale: kale vermicelli, freeze-dried kale, brown rice and black bean kale tea; Bao Thang district has turmeric starch, honey, tapioca starch products...; Van Ban district, Sa Pa town introduces gift and souvenir products through preserving the traditional occupations of indigenous people.

The goods display in booths contribute to affirming Lao Cai - a land that not only holds the majestic natural beauty but also a diverse culture with 25 ethnic groups. Ms. Luong Thi Tuong, Vo Lao commune, Van Ban district said: Representing Van Ban district, we bring to the fair pillows and cushions made from cogon grass, on which the surface is hand-sewn and embroidered with hand-made patterns. This product has achieved a 3-star provincial OCOP product title this year. We hope that through the fair, we can introduce and promote local products to many people.

Bringing to the fair 30 deep-processed cinnamon products, Dai Phu An Healthcare Resort not only shows the foundation of traditional medicine but also affirms the tourism product that harmoniously combines nature - culture - cuisine to help people and tourists gain new experiences of resort combined with health care. "At Dai Phu An Resort, we mainly provide resort tourism products and services merged with health care using medicinal herbs from the Northwest. Through this fair, we desire to promote the potential and strengths of the locality as well as cinnamon agricultural products of our homeland" - informed Ms. Le Thi Lan Anh, staff of Dai Phu An Healthcare Resort.

The fair has a scale of 130 standard booths.

With the scale of 130 standard booths, the fair attracted the participation of many businesses from 15 countries, territories and 40 provinces and cities nationwide. This is an opportunity to introduce unique and special tourism products and services of localities, thereby stimulating consumption and bringing typical products of Lao Cai closer to domestic and international markets.

Mr. Pham Tat Thanh, Director of the Provincial Tourism Promotion Information Center emphasized: For tourists, when visiting any landscape, each journey that they experience will have destinations introducing agricultural products and traditional craft villages. Every tourist may want to buy those products as gifts and souvenirs for themselves, their family and friends. Therefore, at the booths, informing and promoting typical products of each region is a flexible and effective way, contributing to bringing agricultural products, specialties and traditional crafts closer to tourists.
