Provincial People's Council delegates voted to pass a resolution introducing personnel to elect the position of Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee.

The meeting was held under the chairmanship of Mr. Trinh Viet Hung - Alternate member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council and Standing members of the Provincial People's Council, term XVI, 2021 - 2026.

Before electing the position of Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, delegates attending the meeting voted to pass a resolution to dismiss Mr. Tran Huy Tuan from the position of Chairman of the Lao Cai Provincial People's Committee for the 2021-2026 term due to being assigned and assigned by the Central Committee to take on a new assignment.

Mr. Nguyen Tuan Anh - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, term 2025 - 2030 was elected to hold the position of Chairman of the People's Committee of Lao Cai province, term 2021 - 2026 with 100% of the votes of the Provincial People's Council delegates present at the meeting unanimously (88/88 delegates).

At the meeting, after being elected as Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, Mr. Nguyen Tuan Anh said: "This is both an honor and a great responsibility before the Party Committee, the government and the people of the province, requiring me to continue to make efforts, constantly study and practice, always be close to and attached to the locality and grassroots; dedicate my talent, intelligence, responsibility and wholeheartedly to the common development of the province, strive to fulfill the assigned duties and tasks".
