A spectacular art program "Lao Cai - Celebrating the Party and the Spring Festival of the Year of the Horse 2026"
On the evening of February 16, 2026, at Dinh Le Square (Lao Cai Ward), the People's Committee of Lao Cai Province solemnly organized the special art program "Lao Cai - Celebrating the Party and the Spring Festival of the Year of the Horse 2026" in a joyful and enthusiastic atmosphere welcoming the new year. The program attracted a large number of officials, people, and tourists, creating a vibrant and warm cultural space during the transition from the old year to the new year.

Attending the program were leading officials: Mr. Hau A Lenh, Member of the Central Committee of the Party, Secretary of Tuyen Quang province; Mr. Trinh Xuan Truong, Member of the Central Committee of the Party, Secretary of Thai Nguyen province, former Secretary of Lao Cai province; Mr. Giang Thi Dung, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Fatherland Front Committee of Lao Cai province, along with members of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee, leaders of the Provincial People's Council and People's Committee, leaders of departments, agencies, and mass organizations of the province and localities.
The opening of the art performance featured a vibrant and heroic drum performance titled "The Spirit of the Nation," evoking national pride and a spirit of unity. In their opening remarks, the Organizing Committee emphasized the significance of the program in serving the people during the Spring Festival and Lunar New Year celebrations, while also inspiring faith, aspirations for development, and determination to build a more prosperous and beautiful Lao Cai province in 2026. The program, directed by the Lao Cai Provincial People's Committee and organized by the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, was under the artistic direction of Meritorious Artist Nguyen Viet Phong and General Director Artist Xuan Hanh, and featured performances by many renowned artists and singers.




The art programs attracted a large number of officials, citizens, and tourists.
The performance was structured into three parts, all centered around the themes of spring, faith, and aspiration. Part I, "Faith Dedicated to the Party," featured emotionally rich song and dance performances such as the mashup "The Party is a Shining Faith – He is Ho Chi Minh," the choral piece "Made in Vietnam," and the dance "Moon Calling the Boat," expressing the gratitude and unwavering faith of the people in the Party and President Ho Chi Minh. Following this was Part II, "The Convergence of Spring Colors – Lao Cai Rises," with songs rich in the cultural identity of the Northwest region, such as "Love of the Flute," "Northwest Spring Love," "The Door to Spring," and "A Loving Spring Melody." The performances were elaborately staged, harmoniously blending modern music with folk elements, vividly recreating the beauty of nature, people, and the unique identity of the ethnic groups of Lao Cai in the new spring. The program concludes with Part III, "Spring and Aspirations," featuring lively melodies such as "Joyful as Tet," "Coming Home Means Tet," "This Year is the Horse," and "Prosperous Spring," spreading a cheerful and youthful atmosphere and conveying hope for a peaceful, happy, and prosperous new year.
Following the artistic performance, a spectacular fireworks display illuminated the sky over Lao Cai amidst the emotional countdown of thousands of people. The multicolored fireworks burst forth, blending with cheers and New Year's greetings, creating a sacred moment marking the beginning of the Year of the Horse 2026. The artistic program "Lao Cai – Celebrating the Party, Celebrating the Year of the Horse 2026" concluded in joy and pride, leaving a deep impression on the people and visitors, contributing to spreading the spirit of unity, faith, and the strong aspiration for development of Lao Cai province in its new phase.
