The delegation from Lao Cai province departed to attend the 6th Annual Conference between the Party Secretaries of Lao Cai, Lai Chau, Tuyen Quang, and Dien Bien provinces of Vietnam and Yunnan province of China.

On the morning of May 27, the delegation from Lao Cai province, led by Mr. Duong Quoc Huy - Member of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam and Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, departed through the Lao Cai International Border Gate to attend the 6th Annual Conference between the Secretaries of the Provincial Party Committees of Lao Cai, Lai Chau, Tuyen Quang, and Dien Bien provinces (Vietnam) and Yunnan province (China), and to participate in the 2026 Investment, Trade, and Tourism Promotion Conference held in Yunnan province.

 

The delegation included: Nguyen The Phuoc - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the province; Giang Quoc Hung - Member of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; Pham Toan Thang - Member of the Standing Committee, Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Organization Department; Nguyen Minh Toan - Member of the Standing Committee, Chairman of the Provincial Party Committee's Inspection Committee; An Hoang Linh - Member of the Standing Committee, Chief of the Provincial Party Committee's Office; Do Duc Minh - Member of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee, Director of the Department of Finance, along with leaders from several departments, agencies, and localities.

 Seeing off the delegation were Mr. Nguyen Tuan Anh - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; representatives of the Provincial Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front; Party building committees; and leaders of several provincial departments and agencies, functional forces, and localities.

Representatives of the People's Government of Honghe Prefecture welcomed the delegation from Lao Cai Province.

As part of their working program, the delegation from Lao Cai province will attend the 6th annual conference between the Party Secretaries of Lao Cai, Lai Chau, Tuyen Quang, and Dien Bien provinces (Vietnam) and the Party Secretary of Yunnan province (China); attend the 12th session of the Joint Working Group between localities of the two sides; and sign several important cooperation documents.

Within the framework of the program, the delegation from Lao Cai province will hold bilateral meetings and working sessions with leaders of Yunnan province to exchange and agree on key cooperation contents for the coming period; and at the same time promote the effective implementation of signed agreements in the fields of economy, trade, border gate operations, logistics, tourism and people-to-people exchanges.

During their working visit, the delegation from Lao Cai province will work with the Vietnamese Consulate General in Kunming; visit and work with leaders of Honghe Prefecture; survey several key projects and large enterprises in Yunnan province; and attend the 2026 Investment, Trade and Tourism Promotion Conference held in Yunnan province.

Through diplomatic activities, we will continue to deepen the friendly cooperative relationship between Lao Cai province and Yunnan province; at the same time, contributing to improving the effectiveness of foreign affairs work, attracting investment and promoting socio-economic development of the province in the new period.
