Opening of Smart Operations Center of Lao Cai province

On October 14, Lao Cai Provincial People's Committee and Vietnam Posts and Telecommunications Group (VNPT) have just opened the Smart Operation Center (IOC) of Lao Cai province.

This is the result of a strategic cooperation between Lao Cai People's Committee and VNPT Group on the journey of digitalization, towards a transparent public administration and a smart operating center to serve the people and businesses.

Intelligent Operations Center (IOC) is considered as the "digital brain" of the province, capable of integrating data and existing systems of the province with central control software, creating a overview of the province in all fields. Currently, the IOC Center of Lao Cai province has integrated and connected the existing information systems of departments and branches on the Operations Center.

Once put into operation, the IOC Center will help provincial leaders get an overview of information related to agencies, departments, branches, localities and fields across the province. In addition, the IOC Center is also a place to analyze big data, give warnings, and support decision-making in many other areas to ensure high efficiency. Moreover, the IOC Center also has a special meaning in increasing the two-way interaction when people can send comments, notify or reflect to state agencies about incidents and related issues such as: traffic, security, technical infrastructure ... This helps the operation and processing work transparently, quickly and effectively.

Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Dang Xuan Phong, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee said: determining to build e-government towards digital government, developing smart cities towards digital society, the digital economy is a very important task and an objective inevitable trend. Therefore, the leaders of Lao Cai province are very interested in and drastically directing the implementation, especially promoting the application of IT, building a centralized database system and selecting smart solutions for a number of areas with local advantages to implement, ensuring the development of e-government and smart city associated with administrative reform, with people and enterprises as the center.

Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Pham Duc Long, Chairman of VNPT Group emphasized: As a strategic partner of Lao Cai province, in recent years, VNPT Group has focused on investing resources, technology, finance and human resources to develop Telecommunication - Information Technology infrastructure to provide the best services. The launch of the Lao Cai IOC Center is a new milestone in the stage of E-Government construction, a smart city, plays a role in facilitating monitoring and administration through indicators in the areas that have just participated, connect to form a national reporting information system to contribute to speeding up the efficiency of the digital transformation of the government and all areas of life. VNPT Group commited to continue to mobilize the best staff and experts to immediately embark on the implementation of the agreed plan with the synchronous implementation of digital transformation tasks assigned by the Government.

The operation of Smart Operations Center in Lao Cai province will be an important highlight in the process of building and developing the e-government of the province, demonstrates the determination in administrative reform, promoting the application of IT, innovating the direction of direction and administration towards modernization./.
