Mr. Hoang Van Phang, Secretary of the Muong Bo Commune Party Committee, stated: "Despite many difficulties, on the basis that the old Thanh Phu commune has just been recognized as meeting new rural standards in 2019, the Party Committee, authorities, and people have persevered." From the beginning of the construction of a new rural area, the Party Committee, government, Vietnam Fatherland Front commune, and socio-political organizations stepped in and promoted propaganda to educate officials and party members, as well as the general public, about their roles and responsibilities in the construction of a new countryside. The Commune Propaganda Department and 9 village propaganda groups were established and methodically operated, contributing to propagandizing and mobilizing people to effectively implement Party guidelines, State policies and laws, and respond to local programs. As a result, emulation movements erupted in an exciting and widespread manner, attracting a large number of organizations, individuals, and individuals to participate. It has fundamentally changed the way local ethnic people think and act through propaganda and mobilization. People are well aware of their role as subjects, and they are eager to contribute their time, money, land, crops, and many valuable artifacts to the construction of a new countryside.

In light of the fact that the State's investment capital remains limited and people's lives remain difficult, the commune's Steering Committee for New Rural Construction has successfully implemented the motto of prioritizing the construction of practical works to serve the community, such as roads, irrigation, domestic water supply, electricity, schools, medical stations, cultural housing, and so on. Until now, the infrastructure of Muong Bo commune has largely met the people's needs, creating motivation for socioeconomic development.

To raise people's incomes, Muong Bo commune determined that new rural construction must be linked to production development and rational economic restructuring. As a result, the Steering Committee for new rural construction in the commune directs people to use scientific and technological advances, to change the structure of crops and livestock, and to select plants and animals of high economic value that are suitable for farming and planting in the local climate and soil conditions. Until now, the commune's agricultural economic structure has shifted in a positive direction, emphasizing the advantages of the location. People in the commune boldly changed their agricultural production thinking and practices, such as growing specialized vegetables, transplanting Muong Bo sticky rice, growing mushrooms, wood ear... in the direction of commodity production. As a result, the commune's per capita income has increased to 36.21 million VND per year, while the proportion of poor households has decreased to 10.73 percent.

More than 70 years have passed since Sa Pa was liberated, and the Muong Bo rice field, where the guerrilla army was born, has changed dramatically. People not only transplanted a traditional Muong Bo sticky rice crop, but also expanded projects to grow vegetables and potatoes to supplement the crop. Muong Bo people are skilled not only in agriculture but also in tourism. Muong Bo's unique homestays with preserved traditional cultural identities have been attracting an increasing number of tourists.

Muong Bo commune met 9 more criteria in less than a year, thanks to the efforts of Party committees, authorities, mass organizations, and local residents, and was recognized by the Provincial People's Committee as meeting new rural standards in 2020.

Mr. Phan Dang Toan, Secretary of the Town Party Committee and Head of the Steering Committee for New Rural Construction and Sustainable Poverty Reduction in Sa Pa Town, commented on the process of building a new countryside in Muong Bo, saying: "The State and the People work together," with the close direction of the Town Party Committee, People's Council, and People's Committee of Sa Pa. Muong Bo commune had the right orientations and decisions, appropriate to the actual conditions of the locality, during the time of promoting the revolutionary tradition, and united and concentrated all resources to successfully carry out the task of rural construction. new.

Everyone who visits Muong Bo these days notices the revolutionary countryside's transformation.
