One of the notable achievements of the Ban Lau Border Guard Post is the installation of 30 solar-powered streetlights in Coc Lay border village, Ban Lau commune, at a total cost of 120 million VND. These streetlights illuminate village roads, contributing to security and order, supporting border patrol and control efforts, and facilitating daily life and travel for residents, especially at night.

In addition, the Border Guard Post implemented many meaningful social welfare activities such as renovating and repairing the playground at Na Ma Kindergarten (Ban Lau Kindergarten); coordinating with the Youth Union of Quang Bi commune (Hanoi) to organize charitable activities, donating 76 gifts worth nearly 50 million VND to disadvantaged households in Ban Lau commune.

Three intensive propaganda campaigns were implemented simultaneously before, during, and after the Congress, creating a high level of unity in awareness and action throughout the force.

The Command of the Border Guard Force of Lao Cai province launched three intensive propaganda campaigns to be implemented at three times: before the opening of the congress (from January 1st to January 18th, 2026); during the congress (from January 19th to January 25th, 2026); and after the closing of the congress (after January 25th, 2026).

Alongside propaganda efforts, the Lao Cai Border Guard continues to intensify the fight against all types of crime, especially drug trafficking, smuggling, and illegal immigration; and to effectively carry out border diplomacy.

In preparation for the 14th National Congress of the Party, the Lao Cai Border Guard actively participates in building new rural areas, eradicating poverty, and caring for social welfare. In the series of activities "Spring Border Guard: Warming the Hearts of the People" in 2026, the units have so far coordinated to organize free medical examinations and provide free medicine to over 500 people, with a total value of over 280 million VND; inaugurated and handed over one house of gratitude to a policy beneficiary family in Pha Long commune; and supported localities in building new rural areas through many practical projects and tasks. The provincial Border Guard plans to donate more than 1,500 gifts to policy beneficiary families, poor households, and students with difficult circumstances in border areas in the near future.
