[Photo] Silk ribbons connect the harvest season

Lao Cai currently has about 250 km of intra-field roads. In the process of building new rural areas, intra-field roads are invested in and built by localities and people to serve agricultural production and facilitate the transportation of agricultural products. In the middle of a large cultivated area, seen from above, intra-field roads are like silk ribbons that embellish the new rural picture, contributing to bringing bumper crops.

In early April, when the first rains of the season fell, people in Trinh Tuong commune, Bat Xat district, began the spring rice planting season. Although the great flood in September 2024 buried the entire Na Lac field into a valley of white rocks, people here are still trying to restore some areas to plant rice, nurturing green hope on the rocky and gravelly fields.

Stone sprouts are a famous vegetable that is thought to only exist in the story of Trang Quynh, but for nearly 10 years now, Sa Pa farmers have successfully grown a vegetable called stone sprouts. It is currently the harvest season for "Trang Quynh vegetables", the atmosphere is bustling throughout the stone sprout fields. The young, green vegetable sprouts not only serve the tourism market but also spread everywhere, bringing high economic value to growers.
