Lung Vai is known as the “tea capital” of Muong Khuong district, with nearly 800 households growing tea on nearly 1,000 hectares spread across 14 villages. This place is covered with a cool green coat, winding along the hillsides. These days, the tea fields and hills are bustling with the voices and laughter of farmers who are harvesting tea.
Not only a livelihood, but also a lasting hope through each season - tea trees are contributing to changing the face of the countryside, bringing new vitality to each house and each village in Lung Vai.
People in Lung Vai harvest tea every 40 days, from the spring tea crop until October. To ensure tea is picked on time, villagers often exchange labor with each other.
People shared that this year there was a lot of rain, favorable weather for the tea plants to grow well, with green, plump tea buds.

Mrs. Truong Thi Mai's family in Lung Vai village, Lung Vai commune has 3 tea fields, each crop she harvests about 3 tons of tea. Green tea buds are currently sold for 6 thousand Vietnamese dong/kg.
Although tea picking is quite hard work, people have to go up the hill quite early, but smiles always appear on the lips of the honest, simple farmers.
Although there are no regulations, each person usually picks about 3 bags of tea per day.
Tea is hand-picked to preserve its freshness and pure flavor during processing. Each tea crop not only brings income but also provides an opportunity for the community to immerse themselves in the vibrant working life amidst majestic nature.
The young green tea buds will be filled into bags and taken to factories for processing.
