Bat Xat strives to develop a cultural life

Residential group No. 4, Bat Xat town (Bat Xat district), in the implementation of the movement "All people unite to develop a cultural life," always strives to maintain its 20-year achievement of winning the title of cultural residential group.

According to Mr. Ngo Huy Binh, Head of the Front Work Board of Residential Group No. 4, the residential group has 222 households, 820 people, and six ethnic groups. Over the years, the community has worked hard to implement and bring the movement to life, including the upkeep of the cultural family club. Even after more than ten years, the club still holds activities every three months with 37 members. Taking members and families as the core, and taking the lead in developing a cultural life, has aided in spreading the movement's content to households in the area. By the end of 2020, 99 percent of families in residential group No. 4 will have earned the title of cultural family. Furthermore, the first town model in a residential group was replicated to 9 cultural family clubs in 14 villages and residential groups.

Bat Xat is a highland district that shares borders with several ethnic groups. Being well aware of the importance of the movement "All people unite to develop a cultural life," the district has always paid close attention to the contents of the movement associated with the Campaign "All people unite to develop a cultural life in residential areas" over the past 20 years. The movement is gaining traction as a result of the participation of people at all levels and branches who share the same consciousness and initiative.

Every year, the registration and review of cultural titles are carried out by localities according to the correct process and well performed in praise and commendation, thereby arousing the movement in every citizen, agency, and unit. Through the implementation of the movement, more and more typical cultural families have appeared in the fields of production, building happy families, studious families, exemplary grandparents, sage children, upholding the spirit of "solidarity and share"... By the end of 2020, Bat Xat district has 14,585/17,012 households with the title of cultural family (reaching 86%); 163/182 villages and cultural groups (reaching 89.5%); 143/147 cultural agencies and units (97.3%).

In particular, Bat Xat is a land with many traditional festivals, therefore the content of cultural lifestyle is concerned. Identifying the movement "All people unite to develop a cultural life" has an important role in forming a new lifestyle in the population community, healthy social environment, behavioral relations in each family and the community, people and authorities at all levels have made good efforts to build a civilized lifestyle in weddings, funerals and festivals; remove many customs and superstitions. For example, in the wedding ceremony, families no longer have high wedding challenges, eat many meals, and long days, but organize healthy, thrifty, in accordance with the cultural traditions of the nation and with the village conventions and rules. Or like the organization of festivals, with many festivals being held during the year such as the field festival of the Giay ethnic group, the dry old festival of the Ha Nhi ethnic group, the Put Tong festival of the Red Dao ethnic group, etc. well managed and organized. Thereby contributing to increasing solidarity in the community, preserving the cultural identity of ethnic groups in the area, and at the same time attracting and impressing visitors in the journey of discovering and experiencing Bat Xat tourism.

According to Mr. Doan Trung Hieu, Deputy Head of the Culture and Information Department of Bat Xat district, the percentage of cultural titles has increased year by year and the changes in building a new life in both lowland and highland are proof that decided the movement "All people unite to develop cultural life" spreading widely. This also shows that in addition to the attention and participation of all levels, branches and people, the people have clearly identified and demonstrated the main role in implementing the movement, contributing to improving the people's lives in the locality, together with the locality to carry out assigned political tasks.
