The competition teams received enthusiastic cheers from the visitors

One of the activities that attracts tourists and is the focal point of the festival is the nuggets making contest between 3 teams from the hamlets and villages of Tham Duong commune. Within 30 minutes, the teams competed in making nuggets through the stages from threshing, pounding the rice until it was made into fragrant, flexible nuggets.

Making nuggets is a long-standing custom of ethnic Tham Duong. Every year in the ninth lunar month, during the harvest season of "Khau Tan Don" sticky rice, people choose the rice flowers that still have milk to make nuggets to celebrate new rice, make offerings to their ancestors, and pray for a good and bountiful harvest.

This is the first time the festival has been organized to preserve and promote the good cultural identity of the People's labor and production, and at the same time promote and introduce nuggets - OCOP product "Khau Tan Welcome" Tham Duong's to People and tourists.
