"When you leave, people will miss you, when you stay, people will love you"

During the days of practical activities in Xuan Quang commune, Phong Hai Farm town and Ban Phiet commune (Bao Thang district), hundreds of students of People's Security College I "worked together" with the villagers, doing many meaningful jobs and activities for the community, contributing to building the image and creating good impressions and feelings about security students in particular and the People's Public Security force in general.

One good deed a day

These days, the kindergarten and primary school in Pac Ta village, Ban Phiet commune, put on a new, bright and colorful coat to welcome the new school year. The school yard is clean, the trees are neatly trimmed. The walls and playgrounds are newly painted, painted with many eye-catching patterns and colors, suitable for children and teenagers. The fan and door systems in the classrooms are also checked, maintained and repaired promptly to welcome students to the new school year.

Students of People's Security College I participate in repairing and cleaning local schools.

That result was greatly contributed by 19 students of the People's Security College I. Accordingly, performing their duties in the area, the students worked with teachers at the schools to repair and clean the facilities for the new school year. In the bustling atmosphere, with youthful energy and enthusiasm, regardless of the harsh sunlight, the students actively worked with the desire to contribute a part of their efforts to give the students here a meaningful "spiritual gift" to enter the new school year with lots of joy and new achievements.

Officers, teachers and students of People's Security College I went to people's homes to disseminate regulations and support procedures for granting ID cards to children.

The house of Ms. Chang Seo Tinh in Phong Hai Farm town is located precariously on the hillside at the end of the village. The house is sparsely populated, Ms. Tinh has just given birth to her first child less than a month ago, and the health of both mother and child is not stable. Hearing the village cadres inform her that the family must go to the commune to make an ID card for her child, she has not been able to go yet. Upon hearing the news, 3 students from the People's Security College I who are on duty in the locality came to her house to help her declare information and complete the procedures to make an ID card for her child. Ms. Tinh is just one of hundreds of people whose houses are far from the center, who are in poor health or have difficulty traveling in the area of 3 communes and towns, who have been supported by students of the People's Security College I to make an ID card at home.

Students work enthusiastically to help households repair their houses.

After the heavy rain at the end of August, the roof of Mrs. Tran Thi Giang's house in Ban Phiet commune was severely damaged. On duty in the area, students from the People's Security College I reported to the Team Commander and village officials, volunteering to help the family repair the roof. The very next day, more than a dozen students came to help the family transport materials for construction. Mrs. Giang's house is nearly 300 meters from the main road, the students took turns carrying each sheet of fiber cement, pushing each cart of sand. Their faces were red, their backs were soaked with sweat, but everyone urgently transported materials, re-roofed the house, trying to shorten the repair time to help the family soon have a place to live and live stably.

Implementing the plan to organize practical activities for students, from August 19 to September 8, the People's Security College I coordinated with the Party Committee and local authorities to organize for 356 students to participate in practical activities in Xuan Quang commune, Ban Phiet commune and Phong Hai Farm town (Bao Thang district). Before that, the students were trained in basic knowledge about the characteristics and situation of the locality where they would be practicing; equipped with communication skills, legal propaganda, handling basic situations, situations that are likely to occur in the area... After the handover ceremony, representatives of the villages and families went to the commune People's Committee headquarters to welcome the students to eat, live and work with their families. The students were arranged to stay with 75 local families; participated in activities in the village, hamlet, commune and town with an approved schedule for each day, each week and specific, detailed tasks for the morning, afternoon and evening activities. During their stay in the area, with the motto "Do a good deed every day", the school's staff, teachers and students organized many meaningful activities, suitable to the reality and aspirations of local people.

The image of the trainees diligently helping people work and produce, diligently cleaning the village roads, busily supporting the making of ID cards from dawn or enthusiastically explaining and propagating the law with funny, easy-to-understand stories... has become familiar and attached to the local people.

In the area, the students were active, proactive, promoted the spirit of volunteering, and set an example in participating in all aspects of work. Notably, the students organized 21 sessions to clean up schools, cultural houses, and rural roads; repaired 3 village cultural houses worth more than 90 million VND. Promoting the tradition of "remembering the source of water", the delegation presented 80 gifts to policy families and poor children who overcame difficulties; contributed more than 200 laborers to help people harvest agricultural products... The delegation visited and gave gifts to policy families and families in difficult circumstances in the locality.

Another outstanding and consistent activity of the delegation is that the school's cadres, teachers and students organize legal propaganda sessions for the people, train grassroots mediation skills for village and commune cadres and mobilize people to participate in ensuring local security and order. Each student has become a propagandist, mobilizing families where the students live to prevent early marriage and incestuous marriage; mobilizing them to sign a commitment to ensure fire prevention and fighting safety. Students participate in supporting local police to make ID cards for children under 14 years old, instructing people to carry out online public service procedures, and smart digital transformation. In particular, the delegation also coordinated with local authorities to organize a separate propaganda and mobilization session for a family about the consequences of early marriage, thereby helping them realize that it is a violation and strictly comply with the law on marriage and family.

In addition to performing tasks, students and people also participate in cultural, artistic, physical education and sports exchanges with diverse and rich programs and activities. Officers and students cook together, live together with warm and close families, creating a beautiful impression, bearing the mark of a security soldier, and receiving many compliments from local people.
