14 National Intangible Cultural Heritages in Sa Pa

According to information from the Sa Pa Town Culture Department, up to now, the locality has 14 heritages recognized as National Intangible Cultural Heritage.

Among the 14 heritages recognized as National Intangible Cultural Heritage, there are unique festivals such as: Gau tao of the Mong people; Cap sac ritual of the Red Dao people; Roong Pooc festival of the Giay people; Put tong festival of the Dao people and traditional crafts such as: Silver making of the Mong and Dao people, decorative art on Dao and Xa Pho costumes...

These heritages have promoted their value, becoming valuable resources in tourism development, contributing to socio-economic development.

The Gau Tao Festival of the Mong people in Lao Cai was recognized as a National Intangible Cultural Heritage by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism in Decision No. 5079/QD-BVHTTDL dated December 27, 2012.

The Dao people's Cap sac ritual was recognized as a National Intangible Cultural Heritage by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism on December 27, 2012 in Decision No. 5079/QD-BVHTTDL.
