The number of tourists coming to the city in recent years has continuously increased. As of October 2019, the city welcomed 2.89 million visitors, up 37% over the same period in 2018; Revenue from tourism increased by more than 40%. Tourism development has created an important resource to invest in the management, conservation and promotion of cultural heritage values, as a driving force for the development of trade and services.
