Peaceful Nghia Do village

Nghia Do village (Bao Yen) is now clean and beautiful. Weekends are enough for visitors to rest, relax, visit and experience in the beloved village of Nghia Do.

The Tay people's stilt houses are put into community tourism.

Nghia Do is a valley surrounded by mountains and rolling hills. Anyone who comes here can also see the peaceful and poetic beauty of a countryside that combines ancient traditions with modern features because the potential is being realized. Nghia Do land was previously inhabited by the Tay ethnic group and is now primarily inhabited by them. This region is also distinct from other areas where there is interference, so it has a way of breaking, retaining what is good, and learning what it takes to work towards. As a result, Nghia Do has more development than other regions, which makes sense.

The people of Nghia Do are extremely hospitable, friendly, and affectionate. Anyone who visits here will undoubtedly leave with unforgettable memories. In recent years, the people of Nghia Do have expanded their horizons beyond genuine agriculture to include village tourism. It is not wrong to say that the entire commune is involved in tourism, but at least one central area of the commune has been involved in this field. Families have repaired the once-rudimentary stilts to create clean and spacious houses. Each house on stilts is light and airy, with room for 15 to 20 overnight guests. Because of the fresh, cool, and charming atmosphere, guests come and want to stay forever. Visitors can stay here for around 1 million VND and enjoy the peace, tranquility, and village tourism.

Food is always associated with tourism. To visit any region, one must first become acquainted with its delectable cuisine. Nghia Do has a sufficient number of eateries and restaurants. People are the primary producers of food. Visitors can, however, make reservations at the house where they are staying to prepare very delicious traditional dishes, “very Nghia Do”. Nghia Do duck is famous for its delectable flavor when steamed, boiled, or grilled. The fish here are a few kilos in weight, and once eaten, you will remember your entire life. Spring rolls with chicken are a very special dish. Nem leaves, not spring rolls, are made from thinly sliced fresh bamboo shoots. Spring rolls with chopped fist mixed with palanquin leaves (without palanquin leaves, instead of scallions) have a very delicious and unforgettable taste. Another dish that should not be overlooked is carp salad. This dish differs from the lowland dish of sesame fish salad with rice. And here, people use soft lemon juice to process grass carp. To enjoy your soft lips when eating those, roll this piece of fish salad with guise leaves or fig leaves. Thinly sliced buffalo skin mixed with crispy fried lemon leaves is another unusual dish that visitors should try. Perhaps only Nghia Do has this one-of-a-kind dish. Overall, the food is excellent, rustic but impressive. Not to mention the delicious and varied rabbits, black chickens, hill chickens, stream fish, and locally raised pork. Traveling, bathing in a stream, eating a meal with a few glasses of homemade wine, and brewing yourself could not be more exciting.

During the French colonial period, Nghia Do Fort was built on a high hill, now becoming a historical relic. Visitors can visit this once-relic. Visitors will have a day to visit, visit the countryside, watch the Tay people preserve their culture.

Fresh air is not polluted. The breeding households are carefully planned so the environment is not polluted. All households have waste treatment furnaces. The lovely house on stilts no longer has cattle under the floor, instead, the yard is smooth and clean. The houses on stilts are extensively renovated by households, suitable for village tours. Nghia Do countryside market also attracts women to buy food and drinks.

Tourists have known Nghia Do in recent years. However, Lao Cai province, Bao Yen district and the province's culture, sports and tourism industry should study and invest a part in here to make Nghia Do brighter, more diverse, and even have an amusement park and entertainment area, sports ground, traditional dance team, then Tay singing... creating favorable conditions for Nghia Do's development. It is also the development of tourism in the footsteps of Bao Yen district in particular and Lao Cai province in general.
