Lao Cai Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism looks forward to the 50th Anniversary of Southern Liberation and National Reunification Day

Towards the 50th Anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification Day (April 30, 1975 - April 30, 2025), the Lao Cai Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism has organized many practical activities to promote and spread historical values and arouse national pride among civil servants, public employees, workers and people in the province.

Political activities were organized to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the liberation of the South and national reunification.

As the core force in the field of culture, sports and tourism, each civil servant, public employee and worker in the industry has promoted a high sense of responsibility, creativity, and advised on organizing propaganda activities, exhibitions, art performances, mass sports, and introducing historical and cultural relics associated with the cause of national reunification. Notably in the series of activities, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism organized a political activity to propagate and educate historical traditions on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the liberation of the South and national reunification; launched a campaign to change avatars on social networks with the logo commemorating the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South, attracting a large number of civil servants, public employees, workers and people to participate; organized the 2nd Mass Art Festival of border communes, wards and towns in Lao Cai province in 2025 to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and national reunification. The Provincial Literature and Arts Association organized a book launch to celebrate “50 years of Vietnamese literature and arts after the country’s reunification”. The Lao Cai Provincial Museum coordinated with the Provincial Literature and Arts Association to organize a special historical exhibition “Lao Cai during the French colonial period” and an exhibition of paintings and art photos about Lao Cai.

Successfully organized the 2nd Mass Art Festival of border communes, wards and towns of Lao Cai province in 2025 to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification Day.
