Ceremony to announce and receive the Certificate of ranking as a provincial-level scenic relic for Ngu Chi Son peak

On the evening of May 30, at the Tennis Court, the People's Committee of Sa Pa town held a ceremony to announce and receive the Certificate of ranking as a provincial-level scenic relic for Ngu Chi Son peak and a special art program "Sa Pa - the aspiration to rise".

Mrs. Nguyen Thi Hai Anh, Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, read the decision to rank Ngu Chi Son peak as a provincial-level scenic spot.

According to Decision No. 1478 dated May 12, 2025 of Lao Cai Provincial People's Committee, Ngu Chi Son peak is ranked as a provincial-level scenic relic. This is a special event, contributing to enriching Sa Pa's cultural heritage, affirming the value of local natural and cultural heritage, and raising awareness of the work of preserving and promoting heritage values associated with sustainable tourism development.

Ngu Chi Son Peak has an altitude of 2,858 meters, with its majestic beauty and unique ecosystem, has become a natural symbol, entering the cultural life of local ethnic people, increasingly attracting a large number of domestic and foreign tourists to explore and conquer.

Mr. Trinh Xuan Truong, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee awarded the Provincial Monument Ranking Certificate to the scenic spot Ngu Chi Son peak.

At the ceremony, Provincial Party Secretary and Provincial People's Committee Chairman Trinh Xuan Truong awarded the Provincial Monument Ranking Certificate for Ngu Chi Son peak to representatives of management units and local authorities.

Next, delegates and visitors were immersed in the emotional space of the special art program "Sa Pa - the desire to rise".

The program was elaborately staged in three parts: Part I - "Sa Pa's hidden beauty", through singing and dancing performances, the audience was brought back to the pristine land of Sa Pa, where each terraced field, the sound of the panpipe, and the lullaby deeply expressed the unique culture of the Mong, Dao, Tay, and Giay ethnic groups...

Part II – “Sa Pa Transforms and Integrates”, reflects the strong modernization and integration process of Sa Pa through performances such as “Vietnam in My Heart”, “New Dress Season”, “Sa Pa City in the Mist”, depicting the image of a dynamic, modern tourist city but still imbued with its identity.

Part III – “Sa Pa’s Aspiration to Rise” is the emotional highlight that closes the program, with performances such as “Song of Hope”, “Sa Pa – Pride”, expressing Sa Pa’s aspiration to develop far and wide in the period of international integration, aiming to become a national tourist area of international stature by 2030.

Special art program "Sa Pa - the desire to rise up".

With the participation of famous artists such as Anh Tho, Viet Hoan, Xuan Hao, Thanh Le... and the Provincial Ethnic Arts Troupe, along with local artisans, the program recreated the development journey of Sa Pa through three stages: from hidden beauty to the process of strong transformation and towards a sustainable, rich-in-identity future.
