Muong Khuong attracts 3 more projects to process fresh tea buds

To ensure the consumption of fresh tea buds for tea growers, Muong Khuong district has attracted 3 more tea processing projects.

Muong Khuong is the locality with the largest tea area in the province.

Tea factory projects attracting new investment include: High-quality tea processing factory located in Ban Lau commune with a processing capacity of 50 tons of fresh tea buds/day and night and the investor is Prime Tea Manufacturing Company Limited; Asia Tea Factory located in Ban Lau commune with a processing capacity of 50 tons of fresh tea buds/day and night and the investor is Asia Tea One Member Company Limited; Tea export processing factory located in Muong Khuong town, with a processing capacity of 50 tons of fresh tea buds/day and night.

Currently, Muong Khuong district has 7 companies and cooperatives purchasing and processing fresh tea buds, of which more than 95% of processed fresh tea buds are exported to the Middle East, China, Canada, European markets and nearly 5% of output is consumed domestically.
